Who We Are

Africa Talks Network is a women-led African media organisation that produces African journalism in accessible formats that people can understand, engage with, and use.

Founded in 2021, we bring together journalists, producers, creators, and storytellers to turn complex investigations and underreported issues into podcasts, videos, radio programmes, visual stories, and other clear, audience-friendly formats.

Our journalism is rooted in lived experience and centred on the people most affected by the issues we cover. We work with freelance journalists and volunteers across Africa, while providing our  journalists with editorial support, training, mentorship, audience access, and opportunities to tell important stories.

By combining investigative reporting with creative storytelling, we help African audiences better understand their societies, take part in meaningful conversations, and imagine new possibilities.

Our Team

Led by two full-time co-founders, the organization is supported by five freelance journalists in Nigeria, Kenya, Liberia, Zimbabwe, Uganda, and Malawi, and volunteers across the continent.
